Hans Dekker (1957) werkt vanaf zijn 18e jaar in de wereld van natuur en landschap als ecoloog, auteur en fotograaf. Zijn liefde voor de natuur is ontstaan in Drenthe (NL.) waar hij opgroeide. Hier ontdekte hij zijn eerste wilde orchideeën. De fascinatie voor deze planten is nooit meer gestopt. Zo publiceerde hij vele artikelen en enkele boeken over orchideeën en andere onderwerpen. Hans werkt bij de provincie Drenthe. Hij is vooral bezig op het snijvlak van natuurbehoud, zoals Natura 2000 en biodiversiteit, en communicatie. Bovendien publiceert hij als freelancer boeken, artikelen en foto’s over natuur, cultuur en toerisme. In tal van boeken zijn veel foto’s van Hans opgenomen, of heeft hij de beeldredactie ervan verzorgd.

Hans Dekker (1957) has been working since his 18th in the world of nature and landscape as ecologist, author and photographer. His love for nature developed in Drenthe (NL.) where he grew up. Here he discovered his first wild orchids. The fascination for these plants has never stopped. He has published many articles and some books about orchids and other subjects. Hans’ main job is at the province of Drenthe, where he is involved with nature conservation, such as Natura 2000 and biodiversity, and communication about these. As a freelancer, he also publishes books, articles and photographs about nature, culture and tourism. Many photographs of Hans have been included in numerous books and he has provided image editing for several publications. |
